Tomorrow Night!!!
We’re incredibly fortunate to have the team from the Holla Foundation dedicate their time to talk to us about Mental Health Awareness!
Join us for a vital Mental Health Workshop at the Club after training this Thursday night! The Club will be providing dinner, and it’s strongly encouraged for everyone to hang around and get involved.
The session’s focus is on ensuring that we’re all aware of what mental health looks like and how to support each other. The Holla workshop equips us with tools and information on various aspects of mental health, empowering us to notice signs and engage in meaningful conversations.
The workshop is informative and practical, fostering an interactive environment rather than passive listening.
Holla Foundation is committed to mental health education and support, guiding us to notice signs and navigate conversations. It promises transparency and openness, offering avenues to recognize signs and initiate conversations.
Let’s unite to learn, support, and grow together. Your presence matters! See you there!
For Senior players with younger kids who hang around, while the workshops are generally targeted at over 16s, Dylan is open to slightly younger kids participating, provided they have a parent present.π£ Exciting news!!
The Holla Foundation is thrilled to announce that our next mental health workshop will be held this Thursday at Williamstown Lacrosse. π§ π¬ @willylax
Weβre dedicated to bringing valuable resources and support to our community, and we canβt wait chat to the team at Williamstown Lacrosse ! Letβs break down barriers, build connections, and prioritize mental wellness together.
Please reach out and send us a DM if you are interested in getting us down to your business, Sporting Club or school to run one of our Mental Health Workshops.π©·π©·π©·

It is with great sadness that WLC honours the passing of Martin βMarty Monsterβ Gourley gone too soon after a short illness.
Marty was a long time member of WLC having commenced playing Juniors in 1981. He was a member of back-to-back U16 premiership teams in β83 & β84 and represented Victoria in U16s in β84, and U19s in β86 & β87. Marty played 313 senior games for Williamstown including 203 games in State League where he was an automatic defence selection in the clubβs highly successful SL teams from the mid-1980s to the early 2000s winning 6 SL premierships. A highly revered defender on the field, Marty was a gentle giant off it who liked nothing more than having a beer with his opponents and team mates after the game. Martin was a great club member and friend to many.
Our sincere condolences and heartfelt best wishes go out to Andrea, Jed, Ben and the extended Gourley family at this difficult time. … See MoreSee Less
